Description and Details
We are delighted to be able to offer these pair of magnificent Georgian silver gilt spoons which were made by silversmith Solomon Royes in London, 1821.
The exterior is lightly silver gilt, unlike counterpart spoons that feature gilding only in the bowl of the spoon.
Additional unique features are the sea spume (foam) motif in the bowl and the highly textured stem and ornate handle which has an unmonogrammed cartouche.
An ideal addition to any collection to bring out an accented tint of gold within preexisting silver cutlery/ silverware.
All hallmarks are present: London Assay, Georgian head, date mark, silver lion and the maker's mark "SR".
