Description and Details
We are delighted to offer this intricately crafted Victorian solid silver sugar sifter spoon made by silversmith Taylor & Perry in Birmingham, 1853.
The spoon features an ornate grapevine design with intricately and realistically modelled leaves, grapes and vines intertwining to form a handle.
The bowl of the spoon continues a highly decorative design of leaves and a parcel-gilt surface (partially gilt only on the background, whereas the embellished leaves are left silver).
A full set of English hallmarks are present on the reverse side of the handle.
