We are delighted to offer this unique Scottish solid silver milk jug/pitcher made by Hamilton, Crichton & Co in Edinburgh, 1874.The pitcher features a plainly finished bulbous body with a figural mask spout that is intricately sculpted and has fine facial features.
The handle is also of a figural cast design with a person playing the lute with further scrolled ornamentation surrounding it. The body of the jug has been hand engraved with a monogram.
A unique Victorian and Scottish milk pitcher ideal for decoration on a table as interior decor or to enjoy practically whether for afternoon tea or for holding cream for desserts.
Full Scottish hallmarks are present on the top side of the pitcher.

Condition
Good Condition - The jug/pitcher is in good antique condition with no major issues or damage. One small pinprick ding on the curved body side and some discolouration to the interior of the silver (as shown in the last image).
