Description and Details
We are delighted to offer this set of four Victorian solid silver sauce ladles made by George William Adams (Chawner & Co) in London, 1845.
Chawner & Co were one of the most prominent makers of spoons during the Victorian era which becomes evident upon closer inspection of their fine wares.
With no exception, this set is made of the highest quality workmanship with a very thick and sturdy gauge of silver.
The overall proportions, form and decorations present such characteristics of Haute craftsmanship with a beautiful "Fiddle Thread & Shell" pattern decorated on this set.
The spoons are all engraved with a crest on the handle which also presents the full set of clear English hallmarks on the reverse side.
The set's impressive appearance and versatility allow for an excellent way to serve your favourite sauces/condiments with opulence and when not in use, an excellent interior display including among other silverware.
