We are delighted to offer this fabulous antique sapphire and diamond ring made in Sheffield c.1880.
A central faceted cut sapphire is flanked by 6 old European cut diamonds that contrast each other very well and glisten wonderfully under lighting. Distinctly antique and distinguished from contemporary pieces, the design and setting of the stones are ideal for classical and antique lovers - the shoulders feature engraved scrolls with a fluted side under the claws. Sapphire is known to be the birthstone of September and diamonds for April.
A splendid gift to a lucky individual or as an indulgent treat for oneself. Classically elegant and ideal for the discerning jewellery and antique lover.
The ring is partially marked for Sheffield and 18K gold however the date and maker's mark are rubbed/illegible possibly due to an old resizing.
All of our rings come with a complimentary hard shell gift box with a velvet interior.
