Majestic Pair of Antique Victorian 18ct Gold Earrings Etruscan Style - c.1880

We are delighted to offer this spectacular pair of antique Victorian 18ct gold earrings, made c.1880.This unique and beautiful pair is made in the Etruscan revival style, capturing the essence of the period's mystical nature and enchanting designs.Featuring a wonderful three-tier design, each section moves freely and truly comes to life upon wearing. 

The central half-sphere (cabochon-like) section is embellished with fine engravings of scrolled motifs and is a lovely touch that creates a different appearance to the rest of the glossy/shiny surface. The 'drops' below have a wonderful and elegant point that juxtaposes the roundness above and creates a striking yet elegant contrast. The intricate craftsmanship and skill in making such a delicate yet ornate design are wonderful in this piece. Such aesthetic design in combination with the fine engravings is a testament to the stylish craftsmanship of the Victorian era.A remarkable piece of fine Victorian jewellery whether it be a special gift or for a personal addition. This pair would most certainly make for a unique addition for the distinguished antique jewellery lover and an instant conversation starter upon wearing. Perfect as a standalone accessory to accentuate your outfit or among other Victorian jewellery.The pair is unmarked (other than the maker's mark "JB") as is common with articles of this period and as such we have tested it fully with results indicating 18ct solid gold.  

All of our jewellery comes with a complimentary modern hard shell gift box with a velvet interior. Please note, any other antique boxes/display items are not included unless otherwise stated. 

Condition: Great antique condition with no major issues/damage. Some very minor surface scratches/wear to the reverse side, however nothing significant nor visible from the front and all commensurate with age. 

We aim to overemphasize and state these issues to avoid disappointment and thus please rest assured they are not significant nor affect the usage of the items.
