We are delighted to offer this superb hand-engraved solid silver Victorian snuff box made by William Simpson, Birmingham 1840.
The box is of an oval design with contoured circular sides on each end. The entirety of the box has been profusely engraved with beautiful acanthus motifs and scrolls.
The centre of the lid presents a cartouche with a crest in the form of a coronet.
The box is fully hallmarked with the maker's mark, date mark (1840), silver lion, Victorian head and the Birmingham assay mark.
A remarkable piece of hand-engraved collectable silverware from the Victorian period remaining in excellent condition.

Condition
Great Condition - The snuff box is in great antique condition with no major damage, only some minor dings around the interior base of the box. Please refer to the photographs to examine the condition in further detail.
