We are delighted to offer this beautiful antique 18ct gold cameo in Roman revival style made ca. early 19th century.

Distinctly antique and immediately distinguishing from modern pieces, this ring presents a lovely neo-classical design perfect for antique lovers and those who wish to express their passion for history, culture and antiquities. This ring is made in the manner of earlier Roman cameo/intaglio rings from the 2nd-4th century AD.

The gold workmanship is wonderful with a decorative reeded shank with two scrolled lyre-shaped shoulders that is contrasted by a splendid single black cameo. The cameo features a portrait of a lady and is probably made from antique glass.

The rich gold tone and black contrast creates a stunning look especially under natural sunlight and stands out as a unique piece even among other jewellery. Ideal to wear on its own as a conversation starter piece or creatively combined with other jewellery to accentuate your overall outfit and style.

The ring is unmarked as is common with jewellery of this age/period and as such we have tested it, indicating 18ct+ gold.
