Description and Details
We are delighted to offer this magnificent Georgian solid silver teapot made in London 1835 with marks of Edward, Edward Junior, John & William Barnard.
As expected from the Barnards', this teapot has been meticulously crafted and ornately decorated in the most exquisite manner. The teapot features an iconic melon-shaped design which has been additionally embellished with hand-chased acanthus motifs.
The top lid matches the melon-shaped body with a floral finial on top. The foot presents additional decorations of scrolled foliage which are a testament to its "no-cost cut" design and displays the intricacy of the craftsmanship of this era.
The teapot is hallmarked with full English marks on the base.
