Description and Details
This English solid silver snuff box was made during the Georgian Era by silversmith Thomas Shaw in Birmingham, 1827. Birmingham silver renown for their superior quality - this box is of no exception. The construction in hand has a reassuring and sturdy feel in addition to the design aesthetics of a classic and timeless Georgian "engine turned" and "chased" motif.
The exterior is constructed from sterling silver and features streaked accents of lines on all sides of the box. In contrast, the interior is fully plated with gold and features a polished finish which is smooth to the touch.
