Antique Edwardian Pearl & Enamel Pendant Necklace 15ct Gold Art Nouveau Floral/Leaf Design - c.1910

We are delighted to offer this alluring antique Edwardian enamel pendant necklace made c.1910.

In spite of its modest proportions, this pendant does not shy away from presenting the most wonderful Art Nouveau designs and intricate craftsmanship. 

The pendant overall is in the shape of a circle, however, towards the bottom, a very stylish swirl and asymmetrical break is created, capturing the essence of the naturalistic and fluid design of foliate and floral motifs.

The enamel work is simply wonderful and exceptionally fine - a gradation of pink, orange and green is achieved on a very small section of the leaf and hue/reflection under natural lighting is enchanting with an iridescent 'creamy' appearance.

Last but not least, tapering seed pearls at the top form a wonderful curvature that accentuates the rest of the larger pearls and the single droplet at the bottom which moves freely and truly comes to life upon wearing, fully embracing the fluid design of the Art Nouveau period.

Captivating and distinguished from contemporary pieces, this pendant makes for a wonderful addition to any antique jewellery lover's collection and a conversation starter upon wearing.

The pendant is marked 15ct on the reverse side.

Condition: great antique condition with no major issues/damage, some tiny nibbles around the edge of the enamel, practically invisible to the naked eye.
