Description and Details
We are pleased to be able to offer this gorgeous pink enamel guilloche silver box with a superb array of engine-turned motifs of chequering and waved lines.
The case was imported and marked for London 1926, and the maker P.H.Vogel & Co.
The exterior of the case features a stunning six-sided enamel finish including some curved panels, waved and chequered engine-turned lines, and an engraved thumbpiece for ease of opening.
Delightfully, none of the enamel panels have damage or chips - this box has remained in excellent condition over the years making it particularly attractive for uncompromising collectors.
The interior of the box is equally impressive with a fully gilt rich and lustrous gold tone. The stunning colour not only reflects beautifully under natural light but serves the purpose of protecting the silver from tarnishing with contents placed inside.
The case is hallmarked on the interior of the base with full English import marks.
Overall, an excellent and exemplary piece of 20th Century enamel silverware, ideal for box and enamel collectors, whether be it for storing snuff, small items or as a splendid display piece.
