Description and Details
This ornate solid silver photo frame was intricately made by silversmith Joseph Gloster of Birmingham in 1902.
The solid silver frame features an intricate and finely chase border of flowers and leaves on top of a stippled background. The definition and clarity of the flowers' petals are particularly noteworthy and showcases the overall high standard of silver craftsmanship presented in this piece.
At the top, the frame features a blank cartouche which has not been engraved/monogrammed - ideal for presentation/adding personal engravings should you wish to do so.
The easel of the frame rests in good condition considering its age and in comparison to counterpart frames of its age. The glass and back are secured well and has no issues. The only slight flaw is the minor chip in the glass' corner, however, this cannot be seen when the glass is inserted in the frame.
A beautiful art-nouveau style frame made with fine silver artistry - ideal for practical usage to frame an important photo of you choice to cherish and display on your table or home interior.
