We are delighted to offer this intricately floral engraved solid silver card case made by silversmith George Unite in Birmingham, 1898.
The exterior of the case has been fully hand engraved on both sides featuring an array of geometric motifs, floral designs and an unmonogrammed cartouche on both faces.
The hinge works in smooth original order with a tight fit upon closure. A scroll border is present on all four edges creating an alluring aesthetic design in addition to more practical aspect of providing further grip upon holding the case. small spots of wear/patina along the interior edges.
In hand, a quality feel is present as expected from a renown silversmith in Birmingham during the Victorian era.
All hallmarks are clearly marked and present.
An excellent choice whether be it for a classy and luxurious way to carry a few cards, cash or business cards or as an addition to a silver collection.

Great Condition - The card case is in great antique condition. Only two very minor dings are present on two of the corners. Please refer to the photographs to examine the condition in further detail.
