We are delighted to offer this Victorian solid silver box made by the famous Asprey of Bond St in 1862.The box features a slightly unusual tall design in comparison to normal snuff/pillboxes.
The top lid features an engine-turned design with a very good hinge that conjoins to the base.
The base of the box has a plain mirror-like finish to the exterior.
The interior of the box is fully gilt with a rich gold tone. Some slight pitting/dark tarnishing is present on the edges.
Overall a good quality box made by Asprey, ideal for display or practical usage as a snuff box or pill case.
Full English hallmarks are present on the interior of the box.

Fair Condition - The box is in fair antique condition considering its age. There are some small bruises on the exterior wall and some tarnish on the side of the interior (as shown in the last three images). Otherwise in good antique condition.
