Description and Details
We are delighted to offer this Victorian solid silver curved hipflask made in London in 1864.This hipflask features an elegant curved design that not only serves an aesthetic purpose but is designed in a manner that will 'align' with the curvature of your ribs or thigh when it is carried in an inside pocket of a jacket/trousers.
The flask features an entirely solid silver design with a screw-down lid fitted with the original cork.
Made in the mid-Victorian era, this antique hip flask is made with a good gauge of silver and owing to the smoothly curved edges, it has a wonderful feel in hand. The body is engraved with a crest on one side and a monogram on the other.
Whilst ideal for a collection or display, these fine silver items can also be practically used in the modern-day. The flask is watertight and should one desire, contents may be held within.
English hallmarks are present on both sides of the flask; the marks are worn and as such the maker's could not be identified.
