Description and Details 

A lovely Victorian hand engraved solid silver snuff box: Made by silversmith Edward Smith in Birmingham 1851 an exemplary piece of a Victorian silver snuff box. A detailed external acanthus engraving, with aesthetically pleasing curves contrasted by the interior silver gilt - a remarkable piece of English antique and silver craftsmanship. A thoughtful gift to someone a special occasion or a treat to oneself.

Condition

Antique Condition - Please bear in mind this item is antique and shows signs of cosmetic wear. There is one small hole in the left-hand side of the box. The interior silver gilt has some wear. Upon closure, there is a slight gap and the lid does not sit completely flush.
