We are delighted to offer this quality Victorian solid silver sugar sifter spoon made in London in 1856 by Francis Higgins.
As to be expected with Higgins' fine flatware, this spoon is of no exception featuring an array of highly desirable and intricate decorations and embellishments.
Upon holding in hand, the overall gauge of silver and high-quality craftsmanship is apparent.The decorations of the spoons are beautifully engraved with the handle featuring a blank cartouch on both sides with scrolled foliate and shell motifs surrounding it.
The bowl of the spoon features an ornate gilded surface with an intricated pierced 'quatrefoil' design.
A full set of English hallmarks are present on the reverse side of the bowl.
Overall, this spoon is of excellent quality and design, ideal for adding a unique sugar spoon to one's collection, whether be it for display or practical usage for an indulging experience with some desserts.
