Description and Details
We are delighted to offer this magnificent solid sterling silver spoon warmer made most likely in The USA, c.1890.
This unique and opulent item would have been used to hold some hot water which would subsequently keep other silver cutlery warm.
The design is of Rococo style with a Giant Clam from - the ornate decoration of the shell and scrolled motifs are most certainly intricate and a delight to admire on a dining table.
Alternatively, for further practical usage, the item may be used to hold sugar, condiments or sauces of your choice.
The interior is very lightly gilded and contrasts the exterior silver tone.
The underside of the warmer is marked 'Sterling' (925).
A wonderful item sculpted with a marine theme, ideal for collection or practical display on a dining table for a luxurious interior setting.
