Antique Silver Victorian Mug with Floral Stippled Foot - Edward Ker Reid 1856

Description and Details 

This ornate Victorian silver mug was made by silversmith Edward Ker Reid in London, 1856.

Featuring a unique foot with an intricate flower shaped base with stippled textures in addition to a mint condition gilt interior, this mug certainly presents a vivid and captivating design.

The exterior of the mug has a high polish finish and is embellished with a bright cut design of roses. The centre features a vacant cartouche - ideal for monogramming as a present to someone special.

The mug's upper flared rim features a subtle border for ease of drinking a softer sensation for the lips and the handle is fairly large with an embedded thumbpiece for further ergonomics.

The mug is fully hallmarked with the maker's mark, date mark (1856), silver lion, Victorian head and the London assay mark.
