This pendant presents wonderful Georgian characteristics with a delightful array of intricate embellishments.
Centrally, a hand-painted sepia portrait of a lady in profile is embedded. The intricacy is particularly impressive with exceptionally fine brushwork and beautiful proportions, despite the very small panel the painter was presented with.
Surrounding it is a beautiful combination of gold borders, enamelling and a seed pearl border that elevates the overall opulence and striking design. A close look at each component reveals the high level of craftsmanship aside from the painting itself. The enamel features a triangular tesselating pattern underneath, and each pearl has been meticulously set in fine mounts.
