Description and Details
This exquisite Silver Gilt Needle Etui (Case) with its origins in France during the 19th Century features a minuscule size yet a vivid and elegant design. The etui is fully coated in a gold plate on top of standard French solid silver (two boar head hallmark).
The full external circumference is detailed with a four-dot pattern in addition to the three accenting ridged on both tips and in the middle. The lid separated from the main body reveals the continuation of the gilding (a sign of quality in which the maker did not only coat the exterior but also the internal sides which would not be seen unless opened) and two boar head hallmarks - a French solid silver standard.
The lid and body have a meticulous tight fit with flawless precision - the lid will not fall/open by itself. Overall, the etui is of high craftsmanship quality, equally matching the excellence in aesthetic sense and designs.
