We are delighted to offer this decorative 9ct gold purple glass cameo made c.1910.
The brooch features beautiful transparent purple glass with a white carved cameo head mounted on top. Depending on the background and lighting, the purple colour drastically changes from dark purple to light see-through lilac glass.
Made in a versatile size with an embellished gold border, this cameo would grace a wide variety of styles, clothing and occasions. The brooch is unmarked, however, we have tested it for 9ct gold.
All of our jewellery comes with a complimentary hard shell gift box with a velvet interior.

Condition: Good antique condition with no major issues/damage. There are a few minor areas on the rear showing old solder around the border and one hairline crack on the gold mount as shown in the last image. This does not affect the cameo functionally as it sits perfectly with no rattle.
We aim to overemphasize and state these issues to avoid disappointment and thus please rest assured they are not significant nor affect the usage of the items.
