Description and Details
This ornate and intricately chased solid silver dish was made by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co of London in 1896.
Unlike many counterpart dishes, this piece features a very thick and good gauge of silver on which deeply chased motifs of flowers, leaves and scrolls have been embellished.
The dish has a fairly accomodating size which allows for multiple uses such as for fruits, berries, bread, cakes, treats of your choice.
The definition presented in the chasing is particularly noteworthy with multiple different layers of foliate motifs.
The dish is fully hallmarked by the rim of the centre with English marks.
