A table size c.18th Century Meissen Porcelain Snuff Box with hand painted "Deutsche Blumen" floral pattern on a dotted relief decoration. The "Deutsche Blumen" (German Flowers) floral pattern also referred to as "Nach Berliner Art" (After Berlin Art) or "Alte Blumenmalerei" (Old Flower Painting) was a distinct and iconic theme for floral designs adopted in Germany c1740 to 1770 commonly found on Meissen porcelain. Features include an exquisite thumbpiece design in addition to a painting of two people unwinding in the nature that surrounds them.
Porcelain snuff boxes were most prominently made and used in the 18th century with distinguishing features such as hand paintings inside and on all dimensions of the box, and distinct thumbpieces that differ from similar antique items such as Limoges and trinket boxes.

Excellent Condition - Please bear in mind this item is antique and shows signs of cosmetic wear. The box has no damage, however, the top lid mounted to the metal hinge is slightly weak and requires caution upon opening (only touch the metal parts).
