We are delighted to offer this magnificent solid silver card case made by Taylor & Perry of Birmingham during the Victorian era, 1840.
This card case features a particularly high degree of craftsmanship and hand engravings. The case has been fully embellished on the exterior with acanthus leaves, scrolls and bird motifs.
The background of the decoration has been engine turned with a circular/oval pattern that wonderfully contrasts the highlights.
The form of the card case is additionally fine and unique with a concaved and indented design around each corner.
The case is fully hallmarked on the inside with full English hallmarks.
