Antique German Hand Painted Porcelain Snuff Box Scalloped Shape - c.19th Century

A hand-painted German porcelain snuff box with floral themes throughout the box. Unlike other counterpart porcelain snuff boxes which are usually square/rectangular, this box is scalloped shaped with a brass coloured mount and hinge highlighting the circumference of the box. Hand-painted floral designs are present not only on the exterior of the box but also on both the interior lid and base of the box. The hinge and close of the lid are immaculate with an audible click upon closure. 

Although porcelain snuff boxes were most prominently made and used in the 18th century, we believe this box is a newer c19th-century product due to the different base metals used in the mount and hinge.
